Dear Sir,
Enclosed please find press copy of my last obedient dated 19th Last month,
and furthermore duplicat of the certificate relating to the lustres sold
here.
I have not yet been able to effect further sales of your stock as business
is rather dull at present. More as thirty of the leading merchants are still
in prison on account of their refusal to take kinsats at par and only in few
articles a satisfactory business has been done.
Of grey Shirtings, several thousand pieces have been sold from Izbs 12 - 13
pp. and there is no stock left at present.
Cotton yarn No.16 - 24 a better quality and chop than your lot, sold at Izbs
184 - 188 ppie and new arrivals would fetch up to Izbs 190 - Izbs 195 ppie.
T Cloth 8% I sold at Izbs 12 1/4pp: and of Taffachell: 3000 pieces have been
sold at Izbs 10 pp.
Black Orleans fetched Izbs 36 pp for superior quality & Scarlet Camlets
Izbs 66 pp.
During the last days however business has been very dull again but I have no
doubt, but that we shall see here in Septh - Octh a very lively business.
I would recommend you the following articles for shipment, provided however
that no large shipments are made from other houses to this place, in which
event it would be advisable to send smaller quantity.

500 pieces Turkey red Cloth 2 -3 catties 4 piesce (2 1/2 catties sold at
Izbs 15pp)

200 pieces black Lastings
200 pieces scarlet Camlets
100 pieces black Camlets
200 pieces black Velvets (sold here from Izbs 36 _ Izbs 42 pp, according to
quality)
besides you may send small quantity of fancies, but not to much of one kind.
Mr. Bloem who has seen my godowns, will tell you that the same are of the
best fireproof construction and safe situated.
You need not therefore entertain any fear for danger of fire, because my
godowns are quite separated from other buildings and may be regarded as a
good risk in every respect.
