Gentlemen,
I hereby beg to hand over to you all the unsold Mdse at this port in myhands
belonging to the Netherland Trading Society: purenant to instructions
received from the Society’s Agent at Yokohama, Mr. W. van der Tak.
I enclose herewith a memo showing the lowest limits at which up to date I
have been authorized to make sales which you will observe are given in
Niboos. But I have been authorized to accept Kinsats at par for Niboos.
Another Memo herewith also enclosed and given me by Mr. Mees shows original
shipment, with amount of Freight and Insurance. These two Items give you all
the particulars of the goods of which I am in possession.
The S/J Blue Cloth and Aniline Color showed be accounted for to Mr. Van der
Tak separately, as they are for his private account. For the future I have
to ask you to correspond with the Society’s Agent at Yokohama who will give
you all necessary instructions.
The Mdse in question is stored in the Godowns the situation of which you
know & consequently I need not further particularize.
Rent (@ 20 Boos per month) has been paid upon the Godown in which the 32
Bales Pelambang Cotton only stand up to the 2nd inst. Rent upon the Godown
in Katahara street in which the balance of the Mdse is stored has been paid
up to the 17th of October last at the rate of 28 Boos per month.
Be pleased to acknowledge the receipt of this letter and hand me a receipt
of the goods stored as stated in Godowns the keys of which I have already
handed over to you at your earliest convenience and oblige. Gentlemen,
