Sir,
Enclosing
p.c. of my last respects (No.53) which I confirm I have
now for reply your favor of the 13th inst.
Your
instructions about returning to you all of your Goods in my
hands unsold have my attentions and will be followed.- shipping them by
first
opportunity. By previous advices received from you I note that Insurance
is
cared fro by you in Yokohama. I shall ship your Mdse per “Yangtse” say
about
the 15th proximo and I beg you to take note that in all
probabililty
the steamer mentioned will trade at Nambu and at Hakodadi on her voyage
hence
to your part. This is mentioned as being connected with Marine
Insurance.
The
800 Bales Rice shut out from the “Pekin” and your Surume –
shipped per Junk – shall be cared for as well as possible. Thus far,
however
inquiries extending through the past two months have not resulted in
obtaining
any clue to the whereabouts of the cargo in question. I will do my
utmost still
to render A/Sales of these ventures.
